METALS
COPPER: A soft, malleable, and ductile metal with high thermal and electrical conductivity. Unoxidized copper can be a pearlescent pink. When polished, a lustrous warm pink-orange, and when exposed to atmospheric oxygen can lead copper to oxidize, or patina, a brown-black layer, if not, sometimes green due to sulfuric compounds.
STAINLESS STEEL: An iron based alloy with small amounts of chromium. This metal is resistant to rust and corrosion, as well as favored in strength and durability.
0.925 STERLING SILVER: An alloy consisting 92.5% silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper, to help reduce tarnishing and to add hardness and strength. Unoxidized silver can be a pearlescent white. When burnished, a high shine.
14/20 GOLD-FILLED: 14 karat of 1/20th (or 5%) gold in weight fused on top of jeweler's brass core. Created to be an affordable option compared to solid gold, wearers can get the golden look for a fraction of the cost. A tarnish resistant metal, it can be polished with a soft cloth.
