THE ARTIST

            Hello! I'm Tin Loc and I'm the artist behind the studio! I'm a proud Asian American of Filipino, Chinese, and Vietnamese descent from Los Angeles, California. As a child, I always knew I wanted to create, but didn't know what medium resonated with me. So, I went on a self discovering journey to figure my brightest spark by taking as many art courses my college offered.

            Eventually, I got an AA in Studio Art, Art History, and Humanities from Pasadena City College, and decided to transfer to San Diego State University where I got my BA in Applied Design.

            Throughout my college years, I worked at a performing arts school for acting, dancing, singing, and music, as well as worked as lab technician for the jewelry and metalsmith program. My work has been featured in three small art galleries and hopefully more to come in the future. After graduation, I worked at a contemporary art museum in downtown Los Angeles and eventually used my earnings to start a small business.

            At Tin Loc Studio, my mission is to create meaningful, handcrafted art that captures a touch of my heritage and life experiences. Rooted in nature and inspired by my journey through the arts, I strive to design pieces that connect people to my stories through my work. I hope every creation sparks a bit of fire and heart in those who experience it.
